Dear Cedar Creek Family,

Thank you to everyone who participated in our "Keep CCE Weird" spirit day! As I looked out into our assembly, I saw many creative outfits! Students enjoy these fun ways to show their school spirit.

As a reminder, tomorrow, March 30, 2018 is a school holiday. We will see everyone at assembly on Monday, April 2, 2018 at 7:40 a.m.

On Monday, we announced the results of our BookSpring read-a-thon. Our librarian, Shannon Foley, writes, "Congratulations to our top Read-A-Thon readers, Ethan and Riya in 5th grade, and to our top fund raiser Ben in 3rd grade! Ms. Douglass's 2nd grade class had the highest participation and won a makerspace party in the library. Ms. Crump's class won the top fund raising pizza party from Mr. Gattis. Your generous donations allowed BookSpring to provide over 4,000 new books to children in need right here in Austin. Thanks for your support of this long standing Cedar Creek tradition!

Looking ahead, please join us for our Walk to School Wednesday on April 4, 2018.

Campus Dismissal Manager Reminders

Thank you to all that have registered for the Campus Dismissal Manager (CDM).

If you have not registered, please do so at https://parent.smart-tag.net

Just a few reminders regarding the CDM:

1. Please use the CDM to notify the school of all absences, late arrivals and any transportation changes.

2.The cut off time to make transportation changes is 1:30PM for parents. If there is an emergency after this time, please contact the front office.

We appreciate your patience and participation during this registration and implementation process. We are all learning this together.

SEL Highlights Responsible Decision Making

One way to support your teen in growing into a successful adult is to teach responsible decision making.

Important: Sign up for Campus Dismissal Manager today!

Easily notify campus staff of dismissal changes, absences, early dismissals and late arrivals - all online! Every parent must set up their elementary child's dismissal instructions so teachers will know where to take your child at the end of the day.

EISD Elementary Summer Academy

When: June 4 – June 21, 2018 Monday – Thursday (12 days)
Where: Valley View Elementary
Registration due by Tuesday, May 15, 2018

The program is designed to support students who need additional help mastering grade level objectives in reading and math. Instruction will be based on individual student profiles provided by the student’s current classroom teacher.
