Dear Cedar Creek Families,
Our students have really done an amazing job in handling the wet weather this week, being understanding of the rain and indoor recess and showing respect by trying not to track mud throughout the building!
Way to go CCE students!
We will be celebrating "Dot Day" tomorrow at CCE! Teachers have been reading and talking about the book, The Dot. We encourage everyone to wear DOTS to school tomorrow!
Booster Club would like to invite you to the first CCE Booster General Meeting tomorrow after the assembly at 8:00AM in the Commons. Please remember to stop by the office and check in to get a Raptor badge on your way to the CCE General Meeting. We thank all parents who attended the "Coffee and Community" after last week's Friday assembly, it was a fantastic way to build our CCE parent-school community!

When – Thursday September 20, 2018, 7-10pm
Where – The SunSet Room located at 310 East 3rd Street, Austin, Texas
There will be hors d'oeuvres, cocktails and a DJ for dancing. Come meet new parents and re-connect with old. Tickets are $15 per person and can be bought by Venmo Simms Browning at Simms-Browning, when you send please include name and number of tickets.
- International Day will be on Friday, September 28! We will have a school-wide assembly from 7:40-8:20AM, and many fun activities throughout the day to celebrate the many different countries represented at CCE! NEW THIS YEAR –in the interest of safety with the many allergies we have had CCE, we will not be accepting food items at school. Instead, we are asking students to continue the tradition of dressing up to express different cultures (no masks, no weapons, etc., please follow dress code for school). We are looking forward to having Geography lessons, country boards as in the past, and currency!

We have had another successful week at CCE! We are excited to see everyone tomorrow morning for Friday Assembly at 7:40AM! Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have questions, concerns or want to celebrate a bright spot on our campus!

Calling all Dancers!! Kindergarten through 5th grade!! If you want to dance on the field with the award winning Westlake Hyline then register now for their Youth Dance clinic which takes place at Westlake High school on October 8th from 9am-1pm! Participants will then perform at the Westlake Freshman Football Game on October 11th. All dance levels are welcome! Visit the Hyline website, www.whshyline.com to register.
