MESSAGE FROM PRINCIPAL
Dear Cedar Creek Families,
The cooler weather sure is making us feel more "fall-like!" Please remember to send a coat/jacket with your student and write his/her name inside in case it gets lost.
We are looking forward to a fun week next week! On Monday, November 12, we will celebrate Veterans Day at 8:00AM in the cafeteria. We will have chairs set up in the back of the cafeteria for parents and guests. On Friday, November 16, we are excited to have our Eagle Dash! We will not be asking for donations like in the past, we want to simply focus on having fun before the week-long holiday break! Here is the plan for Eagle Dash Day: During Specials – two classes will go to the gym and run laps as a fun competition; the other two classes will be learning yoga. Then, the classes will switch. During FIT – a parent in each grade level will be talking about health and nutrition, while teachers help students think about things they are thankful for and also touching on limiting video games/screen time as we embark on our week-long Thanksgiving break. ** We are still looking for one parent per grade level, who work in the medical/health/nutrition fields, to volunteer to speak to their child's grade level for 10-15 minutes during FIT time about the importance of health/nutrition/fitness. If you are interested, please contact the Booster Club at ccbc@cedarcreekboosterclub.com
Thank you to everyone who visited the Book Fair last week! Tomorrow is the final day for the online book fair if you were looking for something that was sold out or missed last week's book fair. All proceeds directly benefit the library.

Veterans Day
Cedar Creek will celebrate Veterans Day on Monday, November 12th at 8:00 AM in the cafeteria, with a reception to follow in the Commons.
We have three special opportunities to honor Cedar Creek's military family and friends:
Video Tribute Casting Call
Please invite local veterans to participate in a special video for the Veterans Day Program. On Monday, November 5th from 9-11 and Tuesday, November 6th from 9-11, They can visit Cedar Creek to share on camera what Veterans Day means to them. All recruits should report to the front office during those hours, sign in and ask for Tara Johnson. If neither of these times work please contact me and we can arrange a time at tmkleinert@gmail.com.
Veterans Wall
Every year we create a wall of Veterans' photos to display on the butterfly garden windows. If you contributed a picture in previous years, we'll post it! If you would like to submit a new picture, here's how:
1) Please print a hard copy* (preferably 8 x 10) with the following information on the back:
* Name of Military Personnel * Branch of Military * Years Served * Name of Related Student/s * Other Pertinent Details (e.g. Served in Vietnam or Active Duty)
2) Deliver photos to the front office. You'll find a Veterans Day folder to the right of the sign-in station.
The deadline to submit pictures is November 7th
*Please do not send originals. Pictures will be laminated for future use and are non-returnable.
For changes to existing pictures or other photo wall questions, please contact Tara Johnson at tmkleinert@gmail.com
