Dear Cedar Creek Elementary Families,

It is hard to believe that we are a week away from the holiday break!

With a new semester starting soon, we will be implementing a new Morning Arrival Procedure starting on Wednesday, January 9, 2019:

All students will continue to enter the building through the side cafeteria doors or through the front doors.
Starting on Wednesday, January 9, two teachers from the grade level will pick up the four classes at 7:35 AM and take them to the classroom, while the other two teachers will wait by the pod/classrooms to greet students.
** If your child arrives to school between 7:35 AM - 7:40 AM, he/she will go directly to the classroom.
We will discuss this new procedure with students in the cafeteria on Tuesday, January 8, and the teachers will also review this new procedure in each classroom. This new procedure will allow teachers to start announcements at 7:40 AM, and allow for a longer period of time to hold Morning Meetings.
Monday - Thursday: Students arriving to school between 7:15 AM - 7:35 AM will enter the building through the side cafeteria doors and sit with their class in the cafeteria. At 7:35AM, the first bell will ring to alert teachers and students that it is time to go to class. At this time,two teachers from every grade level will pick up students in the cafeteria and escort them to class. Students who arrive between 7:35 AM - 7:40 AM can still enter the building through the side cafeteria doors or through the front doors. Students who arrive after 7:35 AM are welcome to go straight to class. Morning announcements/pledges will start promptly at 7:40 AM in the classroom. Several staff members will be on duty each morning to help students with these new procedures.
Fridays: As in previous years, all students will enter the building through the side cafeteria doors or the front doors and sit with their class in the cafeteria. Morning Assembly will start promptly at 7:40 AM. Parents are welcome to attend and will enter in the same manner as the students. At the conclusion of Morning Assembly, we ask that parents exit through the cafeteria doors. If a parent/visitor needs to access a part of the building other than the cafeteria during this time, he/she must obtain a visitor badge from the front office.

We invite you to attend tomorrow's assembly to enjoy a performance by the Eagle Singers at 7:40 AM. Assembly will be a little longer, lasting until 8:15 AM.

After morning assembly if your student is missing a coat, lunch box or water bottle…...Please feel free to look through the Lost and Found. After the holidays, all items will be donated. Please remember to put your students name on all personal items.

Grade level holiday parties will take place on Thursday, December 20 and Friday, December 21. Please see attached flier for specific grade level party dates/times.
