MESSAGE FROM PRINCIPAL

Dear Cedar Creek Families,

Tomorrow is First Fun Friday, where we encourage everyone to walk or ride bikes to school.  It is also Western Day at CCE!

Thank you to everyone who has visited the book fair this week!  The book fair ends Friday at 1:30, but the online fair goes until November 9 if you didn't get a chance to shop at school. Visit scholastic.com/fair and your books will be delivered to school before winter break (great for holiday presents!)  All proceeds directly benefit the library.  Contact Ms. Foley if you have any questions about the online book fair.

We also want to say a huge thank you to everyone who attended the CCE Fall Family Fun Fest last Saturday!  What a fun event with many food trucks, carnival rides, and a lovely movie on the lawn!

It has been another successful week at CCE!  We are excited to see everyone tomorrow morning for Friday Assembly at 7:40AM!  Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have questions, concerns or want to celebrate a bright spot on our campus!

See you at school soon!

Dear Cedar Creek Families,

                                                   Veterans Day

Cedar Creek will celebrate Veterans Day on Monday, November 12th at 8:00 AM in the cafeteria, with a reception to follow in the Commons.

We have three special opportunities to honor Cedar Creek's military family and friends:

Video Tribute Casting Call

Please invite local veterans to participate in a special video for the Veterans Day Program. On Monday, November 5th from 9-11 and Tuesday, November 6th from 9-11,  They can visit Cedar Creek to share on camera what Veterans Day means to them. All recruits should report to the front office during those hours, sign in and ask for Tara Johnson. If neither of these times work please contact me and we can arrange a time at tmkleinert@gmail.com.

Veterans Wall

Every year we create a wall of Veterans' photos to display on the butterfly garden windows. If you contributed a picture in previous years, we'll post it! If you would like to submit a new picture, here's how:

1) Please print a hard copy* (preferably 8 x 10) with the following information on the back:

* Name of Military Personnel

* Branch of Military

* Years Served

* Name of Related Student/s

* Other Pertinent Details (e.g. Served in Vietnam or Active Duty)

2) Deliver photos to the front office. You'll find a Veterans Day folder to the right of the sign-in station.

The deadline to submit pictures is November 7th

*Please do not send originals. Pictures will be laminated for future use and are non-returnable.

For changes to existing pictures or other photo wall questions, please contact Tara Johnson at tmkleinert@gmail.com

Please save and share the date for this wonderful celebration of service for Cedar Creek families and local veterans:

In October, the Board heard reports on several topics including an update on the Digital Learning Task Force, the selection of the Envision Eanes committee, the review of potential bond category #2 (energy efficiency & conservation) and an update on the Special Education initiative.
