MESSAGE FROM PRINCIPAL

Dear Cedar Creek Elementary Families,

What a wonderful fall semester it has been!  Thank you to all of the parents for EVERYTHING you do to support CCE!  We wish each of you a wonderful holiday break filled with special memories and family time!

Please remember tomorrow, Friday 12/21. is an Early Release Day, dismissal is at 11:50 AM and no lunch will be served. It is also SCHOOL-WIDE PAJAMA DAY.

When we return from the holiday break, on Tuesday, January 8, we will introduce a new morning arrival procedure. This new procedure will allow teachers to start announcements at 7:40 AM, and allow for a longer period of time to hold Morning Meetings.

We will discuss this new procedure with students in the cafeteria on Tuesday, January 8, and the teachers will also review in each classroom.

Beginning Wednesday, January 9, new morning arrival procedures will be as follows:

      Monday - Thursday

  • Students arriving to school between 7:15 AM - 7:35 AM will enter the building through the side cafeteria doors or the front doors and sit with their class in the cafeteria.
  • At 7:35AM, the first bell will ring to alert teachers and students that it is time to go to class. At this time, two teachers from every grade level will pick up students in the cafeteria and escort them to class.
  • Students who arrive between 7:35 AM - 7:40 AM can still enter the building through the side cafeteria doors or through the front doors.  Students will walk straight to the classroom.
  • Morning announcements/pledges will start promptly at 7:40 AM in the classroom.
  • Several staff members will be on duty each morning to help students with these new procedures.

       Fridays:

  • Morning Assembly will start promptly at 7:40 AM.
  • Parents are welcome to attend and need to stand in the back of the cafeteria.
  • At the conclusion of Morning Assembly, we ask that parents exit through the cafeteria doors.
  • If a parent/visitor needs to access a part of the building other than the cafeteria during this time, he/she must obtain a visitor badge from the front office.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation in keeping arrival procedures running safely and efficiently.
