MESSAGE FROM PRINCIPAL

Dear Cedar Creek Elementary Families,

Happy Valentine's Day!  We loved seeing all of the creativity in the students' Valentine's boxes, as well as the excellent behaviors today as everyone got along with one another, showing compassion and integrity!

Thank you to all who attended Open House and Grandparent's Day last week!  We had a wonderful turnout!

Read-a-thon - It's not too late to participate in this year's read-a-thon. Pledge envelopes are due next Thursday, February 21, with prizes being delivered around Spring Break in March. Don't forget that you must turn in the student envelope and register online to be eligible for prizes (https://www.bookspring.org/readathon/).  The student pledge envelope is attached to this week's newsletter or you may pick up extra copies in the office or the library.

Safety and Security - One of the Eanes ISD initiatives this year is to continue to ensure safety and security on all campuses.  Part of the initiative was to install buzz-in systems at the front entrances and to continue to have all visitors to check in in the office and sign into the Raptor system.  Our top priority is the safety of our students and staff; therefore, we ask that

  • all visitors continue to check in in the office and sign into the Raptor system.  Please inform the office staff of the location you are going to and wear your visitor sticker as you travel throughout the building.
  • if you need to go to another location, we ask that you come back by the office and inform the office staff.
  • for safety and security, we do not allow visitors to walk students to the classrooms in the mornings, and we do not allow parents to visit classrooms unless you have an appointment or a scheduled visit to the classroom.

We thank you for following these procedures, and helping us to ensure safety and security on the campus.
